Christiane Cork is the teacher in the Forest Heights DKK school program. She is a certified Child Development Supervisor and a native German speaker. She studied social pedagogy in Cologne, Germany, and worked for many years in Germany as a youth minister, Kindergarten teacher, and daycare supervisor. Christiane is passionate about supporting the growth and well-being of each child starting from where he or she is.
Married to an English-speaking Canadian and blessed with young twin boys, Christiane understands the challenges and opportunities of raising children with a second language. She believes that children learn best in the context of responsive and respectful relationships, and she strongly believes children should be given the space to try different activities, manage achievable tasks, and figure things out as much as possible on their own. She loves to see her students develop independence and self-confidence in the classroom.
