Registration
This is Registration information as it relates to the 2010/11 school session.
Early registration for current students and siblings of students currently in the German/Bilingual program begin Feb.8, 2010. Open registration for all other applicants begins March 10th at Forest Heights and March 11th at Allendale and Rio Terrace. Please see Open House page for more info.
Because class sizes are limited and can fill up quickly, it is advisable to register as early as possible. To register, your child must turn three (3) prior to Dec. 31st of that school year and be fully toilet trained. Children also require a working knowledge of either the English or German language in order to attend DKK.

ENROLLMENT
All fees are due at the time of registration to hold your child’s place for the coming school year. The following are required to complete the registration of your child(ren):
- Completed Registration Form 2010/11 and $35.00 Registration Fee (non-refundable) dated upon registration.
- $50.00 AGM Meeting Fee (returned if meeting attended) – dated May 1/2010 (Annual General Meeting is scheduled for May 10, 2010 - See Parent’s Page for more info)
- If you are registering after the AGM, the Registration fee increases to $50 (non-refundable) but no AGM deposit cheque is required.
- 10 post-dated cheques valued for $90* each, dated the 1st of each month from September to June (payable to Die Kleine Kinderschule)
- Completed Volunteer Form.
*In order to reduce the number of cheques, it is acceptable to combine two or more months’ fees on a single cheque. However, please keep the September cheque as one month’s tuition. Please keep Registration Fee and AGM deposit as two separate cheques.
Cheques are payable to Die Kleine Kinderschule. Please call the appropriate Registrar for their mailing address (see Contact Us). If you cannot attend the Open House, please contact the Registrar at the location you prefer to arrange for delivery or mailing your package in. Please do NOT send registrations to the school address.
All spaces on the registration form must be filled in for your registration to be accepted. We require this information to be complete as per our license issued by the province of Alberta, sections 4 and 6 of the Social Care Facilities Licensing Act. If the class time you have chosen is full, the registrar will contact you to offer you an alternate arrangement. Further, DKK reserves the right to cancel any class if enrollment is not sufficient and you will be contacted by the Registrar regarding other possible class vacancies. All post-dated cheques will be returned if you cannot be accommodated. Should you find it necessary to withdraw your registration, all post-dated cheques will be returned, with the exception of the registration fee, and the first month’s tuition cheque, which will be considered a non-refundable deposit. Tuition for the months already attended is non-refundable.
