Sample Morning Class
9:00 A.M. Children Arrive
9:00 - 10:00 A.M.
Play time and crafts
This period is a free play time supervised by the teaching staff. Children choose to play with learning materials which are grouped in the following centers:
- blocks and toys
- playhouse
- tabletops (sand or water)
- art area
- library corner
During this time, all children also make a craft with the teachers’ assistant. Depending on the degree of difficulty with the craft, between two and four children will be at the craft table at any given time. With this small group size there is ample time to speak both English and German.
10:00 - 10:30 A.M.
Snack Time
The children have a bathroom break, wash their hands and then have their snacks.
10:30 - 11:00 A.M.
Circle Time
The teacher and the children sit in a designated area of the room to sing songs, count, identify colours as well as play as a group.
11:00 - 11:30 A.M.
Gym Time
Indoor gym or Outdoor activity
11:30 A.M.
Children Depart
The afternoon class program is the same as above with the time being from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. (Forest Heights) and from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. (Allendale). The Rio Terrace location currently only offers a morning program.
